Latest MicroPayments plugin includes ability to setup donation goals and crowdfunding for each content page. Creators can configure monetization by editing their items (blog posts, videos, pictures, downloads), listed in My Assets page.
Content page (blog post, video) will also show a button to Donate/Fund content owner depeding on monetization settings.
Goal will show progress and Crowdfunding will also publicly list all funders, on the content page.
Creators can setup crowdfunding on various post types they own (on blog posts, videos, custom posts like webcam rooms, live streaming channels). Authors can setup a crowdfunding stake like 50% for the goal amount, meaning others can donate to get a stake in the final goal.
For crowdfunding, the creator can include terms in content description. In example, creator could shoot a custom video on demand, share it with the crowdfunders and also give them part of the profits from selling it, based on each one’s stake. Enforcing the terms/contract is beyond the scope of the current plugin.
